Licensed Marriage and

Family Therapist (LMFT) and Owner of Hope Tree Therapy and Wellness, PLLC

... therapy is a relationship ...

I believe that therapy is a relationship and relationships are built with authenticity, transparency, and vulnerability.  I tell my clients that it is an incredibly courageous step to walk through my office door and I strive to honor your journey by holding space and recognizing the privilege it is to walk your journey with you, even for a little while.

... therapy has a goal ...

Therapy can be scary and it is my goal as a therapist to assist you on your way to self-discovery,  walk beside you as you navigate emotional dysregulation, and collaboratively establish new patterns of understanding and awareness for the elements of uniqueness that make you an individual.

... my approach as a therapist ...

I approach therapy from a systemic lens, in that I believe we are all products of the "systems" and environments where we were raised, work, live, and are familiar with.  Our views of "normal" are different and it is my approach to understand what your visions and goals are to move you closer to your idea of a "perfect" life, whatever that looks like for you!

... my tools as a therapist ...

I utilize the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment and exercises for couple and individual self-reflection and exploration; the Love Languages quiz, self-esteem journals, adult-coloring, and Wellness Wheel exercise.  I also explore the grief process, self-evaluation assessments, and genograms for family-of-origin issues and relationship mapping.

I am also a trained workshop facilitator in PREPARE/ENRICH®, The Marriage Course by Nicky and Silva Lee, Better Halves by Brightpeak Financial (a division of Thrivent Financial), and the Couple Checkup.
